Spectators: 7456 (Terracing: 5630, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 100) Lucrețiu Șeicaru started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucrețiu Șeicaru in the 3rd minute of play forced Sumuleu's goalkeeper Marin Hârșu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 4 minutes into the game, Fabian Floroiu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rasa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sumuleu the free kick. Fabian Floroiu hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice moves Romeo Șerbulescu could shoot a difficult shot in the 8th minute, which Marin Hârșu however easily saved by the left post. With a little luck, Sumuleu's Marin Hârșu got control of the ball when Romeo Șerbulescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, Rasa's goal looked a bit too open when Pipis Paltakis came free, but Valentin Luican reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 20 minutes, Eusebiu Rebengiuc made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Rasa's Valentin Luican tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Iosif Aluneanu charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Iosif Aluneanu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Rasa booed when Sumuleu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iosif Aluneanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valentin Luican took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pipis Paltakis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 29th minute Lucrețiu Șeicaru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marin Hârșu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Viorel Greblă got free with Marin Hârșu in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 32nd minute, Viorel Greblă left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rasa fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 36th minute, Eusebiu Rebengiuc ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Valentin Luican was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Marin Hârșu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabian Floroiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. The supporters of Sumuleu booed when Rasa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cătălin Nișu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Sumuleu were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Iosif Aluneanu got his second yellow card in the match during the 52nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. 51 minutes into the game, one of Sumuleu:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Mugur Slicaru walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Sumuleu's Mihail Ghinescu managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Laurențiu Cârneci in the 60 minute of the game. When Eusebiu Rebengiuc came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Sumuleu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eusebiu Rebengiuc couldn't finish the play. Pipis Paltakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valentin Luican having to interfere. Sumuleu's Eusebiu Rebengiuc got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Mihail Ghinescu came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Sumuleu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mihail Ghinescu couldn't finish the play. Rasa's Valentin Luican played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusebiu Rebengiuc in the 76th minute of play. Eusebiu Rebengiuc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Mihail Ghinescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sumuleu's supporters rose to their feet, but Mihail Ghinescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valentin Luican breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 89th match minute, Rasa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabian Floroiu to maneuver through the defense. Eusebiu Rebengiuc struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Valentin Luican didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sumuleu. Valentin Luican showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusebiu Rebengiuc in the 97th minute of the match. Sumuleu played a much better game than Rasa and deserved their victory. The Rasa players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
