Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Traian Oroveanu charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Traian Oroveanu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 7 played minutes Foisorul got a freekick which was hit by Traian Oroveanu. Costin Stoian hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. In the 9th minute of the match Mihnea Băcila shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gavril Grecu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Corneliu Ferenț fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fantani's protests and gave Corneliu Ferenț a yellow card for diving instead. After 17 played minutes Fantani got a freekick which was hit by Corneliu Ferenț. Traian Oroveanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Narcis Aaxiniei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Grigore Stănciulescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. After 21 played minutes Fantani got a freekick which was hit by Cazimir Alupoaie. An unexpectedly hard shot by Grigore Stănciulescu in the 24th minute of play forced Foisorul's goalkeeper Narcis Aaxiniei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25thth minute of the game Grigore Stănciulescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Foisorul's Narcis Aaxiniei was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fantani's Cristinel Luca got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Cristinel Luca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Traian Oroveanu struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Gavril Grecu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Foisorul. Remus Mandache took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gavril Grecu. Gavril Grecu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Mihail Grindeanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Costin Stoian fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fantani's protests and gave Costin Stoian a yellow card for diving instead. Costin Stoian hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Grigore Stănciulescu to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Fantani's Cazimir Alupoaie got a free kick in the 54th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Grigore Stănciulescu in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Narcis Aaxiniei prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Narcis Aaxiniei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Grigore Stănciulescu in the 58th minute of play. Cazimir Alupoaie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Fantani's Grigore Stănciulescu in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Foisorul's goalie prevented a goal. Cazimir Alupoaie hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Cristinel Luca struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Narcis Aaxiniei didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fantani. Grigore Stănciulescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Narcis Aaxiniei having to interfere. If Răzvan Dancu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Narcis Aaxiniei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Grigore Stănciulescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 95th minute Grigore Stănciulescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Narcis Aaxiniei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Narcis Aaxiniei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Grigore Stănciulescu in the 96th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Fantani lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
