After having played for 18 minutes, Toader Blăjan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Robert BTF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Toader Blăjan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Romeo Șerbulescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 23rd minute, Toader Blăjan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Olimpiu Carabulea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Valentin Luican made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sandu Tarchilă in the 38th minute of play. If Sandu Tarchilă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
A collision led to Rasa getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Vintilă Racoviceanu hit a great ball. Olimpiu Carabulea succeeded in the game's 57th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. In the 61st minute Lucrețiu Șeicaru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Panait Junilă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Lucrețiu Șeicaru managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rasa's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucrețiu Șeicaru was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Panait Junilă was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Olimpiu Carabulea really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. Olimpiu Carabulea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The FC Robert BTF supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC Robert BTF would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
