Spectators: 7456 (Terracing: 5630, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Grigore Stănciulescu started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Fantani's Grigore Stănciulescu got a free kick in the 8th minute. 11 minutes into the match, Rasa's goal looked a bit too open when Grigore Stănciulescu came free, but Valentin Luican reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Corneliu Ferenț kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Gavril Grecu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucrețiu Șeicaru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With 20 minutes on the clock, Corneliu Ferenț commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Fantani fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 20th minute. Penalty! Gavril Grecu went to the wrong direction when Mugur Slicaru was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. In the 23rd minute of the match, Viorel Greblă got a very nice opportunity to score, but Gavril Grecu was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Cezar Cercelescu might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Valentin Luican. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cezar Cercelescu ran back to his position shaking his head. After 29 played minutes Rasa got a freekick which was hit by Viorel Greblă. In the 30th minute, Răzvan Dancu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Răzvan Dancu took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Valentin Luican. Valentin Luican dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Eusebiu Rotariu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Valentin Luican tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lucrețiu Șeicaru stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucrețiu Șeicaru in the 53rd minute of play forced Fantani's goalkeeper Gavril Grecu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 55thth minute of the game Lucrețiu Șeicaru who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fantani's Gavril Grecu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Valentin Luican showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristinel Luca in the 59th minute of the match. Cristinel Luca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fantani's Răzvan Dancu got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gavril Grecu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romeo Șerbulescu in the 67th minute of the match. Gavril Grecu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucrețiu Șeicaru, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Răzvan Dancu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Valentin Luican tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Valentin Luican was out of position in the 84 minute of play, and Cristinel Luca capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cristinel Luca really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. 88 minutes into the match, Fantani's Cristinel Luca sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Valentin Luican narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 89th minute, Cristinel Luca ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Valentin Luican was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. In the 94th minute, Rasa's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Răzvan Dancu fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Cristinel Luca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valentin Luican having to interfere. Fantani played a much better game than Rasa and deserved their victory. The Rasa players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
