Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gelu Trandafir's late challenge caught a Garbovita UFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gelu Trandafir helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Rimnicelu's Adam Romulus got a free kick in the 13th minute. Adam Romulus hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Horaţiu Beligan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Garbovita UFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Horaţiu Beligan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Horea Năsturel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Horaţiu Beligan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Horea Năsturel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rimnicelu's goalkeeper Horea Năsturel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horaţiu Beligan in the 29th minute of play forced Rimnicelu's goalkeeper Horea Năsturel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mugurel Zbereanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horaţiu Beligan in the 36th minute of play forced Rimnicelu's goalkeeper Horea Năsturel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Horaţiu Beligan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horea Năsturel having to interfere. Horea Năsturel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horaţiu Beligan in the 45th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Matei Dragușin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 53 minutes, Manole Ştercă managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Garbovita UFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manole Ştercă was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Horaţiu Beligan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Horea Năsturel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Horea Năsturel came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Garbovita UFC's Horaţiu Beligan. But to his dismay, Horaţiu Beligan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 60 minutes of play, Garbovita UFC's Horaţiu Beligan made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Horea Năsturel was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience was convinced that Horaţiu Beligan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Horea Năsturel was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. Horaţiu Beligan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Horea Năsturel was a little too slow when Horaţiu Beligan got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 69th minute. The score was now 0-3. 77 minutes into the match, Rimnicelu's goal looked a bit too open when Horaţiu Beligan came free, but Horea Năsturel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Garbovita UFC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Iustinian Gârleanu hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Rimnicelu defense, Horaţiu Beligan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Horea Năsturel. The Rimnicelu fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Horea Năsturel should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Horaţiu Beligan in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Horea Năsturel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Garbovita UFC's Horaţiu Beligan got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Horea Năsturel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Horaţiu Beligan in the 91st minute. When the final whistle sounded Garbovita UFC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Rimnicelu.
