Cătălin Semeghin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nechifor Ignătescu having to interfere. Nechifor Ignătescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cătălin Semeghin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Vlad Stegaru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for George Apostolescu to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 59th minute of the match David Enășoiu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nechifor Ignătescu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Vasile Gheorghiță might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Victor Homescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vasile Gheorghiță ran back to his position shaking his head. George Apostolescu kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. After 67th play minutes Vlad Stegaru shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Nechifor Ignătescu and just under the crossbar into goal. Nechifor Ignătescu didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 71st minute, which inside left pole to 0-2. Nechifor Ignătescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cătălin Semeghin, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute.
