Victor Homescu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Horaţiu Beligan went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Mugurel Zbereanu kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Garbovita UFC's Horaţiu Beligan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Victor Homescu. That made the score 2-0 after 34 minutes of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Horaţiu Beligan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Garbovita UFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Horaţiu Beligan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Victor Homescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Urziceni CS's Vlad Stegaru got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The supporters of Garbovita UFC booed when Urziceni CS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabian Şuţu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Urziceni CS's zone, Horaţiu Beligan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victor Homescu came out of the goal and Horaţiu Beligan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Costin Achimescu fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Garbovita UFC's protests and gave Costin Achimescu a yellow card for diving instead. 64 minutes into the match, Urziceni CS's goal looked a bit too open when Horaţiu Beligan came free, but Victor Homescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 68 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Horaţiu Beligan sped through Urziceni CS's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Victor Homescu. Emil Acalinei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cătălin Semeghin, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Horaţiu Beligan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Homescu having to interfere. Vintilă Negrilă's late challenge caught a Urziceni CS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vintilă Negrilă helped the player get up and apologised. In the 81st match minute, Garbovita UFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vintilă Negrilă to maneuver through the defense. Victor Homescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horaţiu Beligan, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Sever Mailat kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Victor Homescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horaţiu Beligan in the 88th minute of the match. 91 minutes into the match, Horaţiu Beligan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Victor Homescu. Urziceni CS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Horaţiu Beligan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. For all the effort they put into the match, the Urziceni CS players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Garbovita UFC.
