FC Lazu -Stiinta-'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Anton Necșulescu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 13th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Petre Bara. FC Lazu -Stiinta-'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of FC Lazu -Stiinta- booed when Garbovita UFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vintilă Negrilă didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anton Necșulescu kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Nechifor Molodețiu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emil Acalinei read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. After 37 played minutes Garbovita UFC got a freekick which was hit by Anton Necșulescu. Petre Bara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horaţiu Beligan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 44 minutes into the game, Horaţiu Beligan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Petre Bara was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Horaţiu Beligan to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Horaţiu Beligan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Garbovita UFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Horaţiu Beligan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Petre Bara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Petre Bara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horaţiu Beligan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Garbovita UFC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Panait Secară hit a great ball. When Vintilă Negrilă fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Garbovita UFC's protests and gave Vintilă Negrilă a yellow card for diving instead. Garbovita UFC's Emil Acalinei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albert Chilian in the 76th minute of play. A collision led to Garbovita UFC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Horaţiu Beligan hit a great ball. Eduard Cudalb took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 83rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Emil Acalinei. Garbovita UFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Garbovita UFC's Costin Achimescu quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Eduard Cudalb, made in the 85th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Horaţiu Beligan in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Petre Bara saved FC Lazu -Stiinta- from getting behind. After 89 minutes FC Lazu -Stiinta-'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Manole Ştercă who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to Garbovita UFC's Vintilă Negrilă getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Garbovita UFC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
