The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ivan Mustea during the 25th minute. Toader Andriescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gheorghe Herea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 39th minute Waldemar Mule shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toader Andriescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Cobweb's zone, Răzvan Mumuleanu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Toader Andriescu came out of the goal and Răzvan Mumuleanu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gheorghe Herea made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Waldemar Mule dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Toader Andriescu, 0-8. After 56 played minutes FC Brink got a freekick which was hit by Răzvan Mumuleanu. Pompiliu Zmărăndescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicolae Ghimiș in the 58th minute of the match. Mihăiţă Șofran hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Gheorghe Herea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toader Andriescu having to interfere. Răzvan Mumuleanu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Toader Andriescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play.
