After 2 played minutes Serement FC got a freekick which was hit by Cătălin Vârlan. Augustin Botgros kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. 8 minutes into the game, Alex Coroian lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Nechifor Ivăncioiu. After a rather tough play, Serement FC's Augustin Botgros got a free kick in the 11th minute. If Viorel Hăulică had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 17th minute, CS UNIVERSITATEA CRAIOVA's Viorel Hăulică dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. In the 20th match minute, CS UNIVERSITATEA CRAIOVA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marius Sinulescu to maneuver through the defense. Viorel Hăulică took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nechifor Ivăncioiu. Nechifor Ivăncioiu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. After a defensive mix-up in Serement FC's zone, Alex Coroian stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nechifor Ivăncioiu came out of the goal and Alex Coroian tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nechifor Ivăncioiu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marius Sinulescu in the 33rd minute. Alex Coroian recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 40th minute, Robert Mironov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Viorel Hăulică received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Nechifor Ivăncioiu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nechifor Ivăncioiu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Viorel Hăulică in the 47th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Alex Coroian made the kick off in the second half. If Alex Coroian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Serement FC's Nechifor Ivăncioiu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viorel Hăulică in the 53rd minute of play. 57 minutes into the match, CS UNIVERSITATEA CRAIOVA's Alex Coroian sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nechifor Ivăncioiu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Viorel Hăulică managed to get in a good position for a shot. CS UNIVERSITATEA CRAIOVA's supporters rose to their feet, but Viorel Hăulică was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nechifor Ivăncioiu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Alex Coroian came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the CS UNIVERSITATEA CRAIOVA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alex Coroian couldn't finish the play. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Serement FC's goalkeeper Nechifor Ivăncioiu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alex Coroian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nechifor Ivăncioiu having to interfere. Nechifor Ivăncioiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viorel Hăulică in the 73rd minute of the match. 75 minutes into the game, Alex Coroian cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Nechifor Ivăncioiu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nechifor Ivăncioiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viorel Hăulică in the 77th minute of the match. Alex Coroian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Nechifor Ivăncioiu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nechifor Ivăncioiu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viorel Hăulică, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. CS UNIVERSITATEA CRAIOVA's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
