After 6 minutes of play, SCORPIONII's Sergiu Botgros made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bogdan Mangra was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Sergiu Botgros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sergiu Botgros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Bogdan Mangra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 18th minute Maxim Gurlui shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bogdan Mangra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the CS UNIVERSITATEA CRAIOVA defense, Maxim Gurlui kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bogdan Mangra. The CS UNIVERSITATEA CRAIOVA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bogdan Mangra should have stopped the shot. In the 27th match minute, SCORPIONII was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sever Muncelean to maneuver through the defense. 30 minutes into the game, Alex Coroian recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dorel Poenaru. Alex Coroian showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. 33 minutes into the game, CS UNIVERSITATEA CRAIOVA's Viorel Hăulică nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dorel Poenaru made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Viorel Hăulică got free with Dorel Poenaru in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bogdan Mangra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maxim Gurlui, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Liviu Ştefănică scored 2-3 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bogdan Mangra, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 2-3 lead.

After 54 minutes, Liviu Ştefănică mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SCORPIONII and the CS UNIVERSITATEA CRAIOVA players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 54th match minute, SCORPIONII was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Liviu Ştefănică to maneuver through the defense. Sergiu Botgros kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. SCORPIONII's Dorel Poenaru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viorel Hăulică in the 60th minute of play. CS UNIVERSITATEA CRAIOVA's Viorel Hăulică got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marius Sinulescu during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A hard shot 72 in the game by Sergiu Botgros from a close distance when the talented Bogdan Mangra managed to make a qualified save. CS UNIVERSITATEA CRAIOVA's players were relieved. Bogdan Mangra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sergiu Botgros, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Maxim Gurlui fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bogdan Mangra having to interfere. After a rather tough play, SCORPIONII's Liviu Zbârlea got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Sever Muncelean received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Bogdan Mangra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maxim Gurlui's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Bogdan Mangra firmly grabbed it by the left post. SCORPIONII's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
