Robert Murgan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristian Mahonea's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. A collision led to Children of God getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Rareș Zeciu hit a great ball. Cristian Mahonea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Iustinian Tender hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. In the 19th minute of the match, Nistor Alupulesei sent away a good long shot that could have become a goal, but Cosmin Homeag showed an example of his skillful tending and made the save just under the crossbar. Robert Murgan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paul Zăvoiu in the 23rd minute of play. After having played for 24 minutes, Cristian Mahonea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Draghiceanu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Mahonea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Robert Murgan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonard Zota, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Cristian Mahonea came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Draghiceanu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Mahonea couldn't finish the play. Draghiceanu's Sandu Enachescu has a good shot, but didn't show it this time. The shot went over the crossbar in the 34th minute. Cristian Mahonea blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Robert Murgan having to make a save. Irinel Ipătescu charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Irinel Ipătescu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Children of God's Irinel Ipătescu got a free kick in the 45th minute. Cristian Mahonea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robert Murgan having to interfere.

A collision led to Draghiceanu getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Cristian Mahonea hit a great ball. Robert Murgan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petre Nae in the 53rd minute of the match. 54 minutes into the match, Filip Pordea had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cosmin Homeag. Draghiceanu's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Filip Pordea was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Cristian Mahonea scored 1-1 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Robert Murgan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sandu Enachescu's late challenge caught a Children of God's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sandu Enachescu helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 62nd minute of the game. One of Draghiceanu:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Children of God:s goal. The referee gave Children of God a penalty, 65 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Nistor Alupulesei, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Draghiceanu's Cosmin Homeag. 2-1. Robert Murgan came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Draghiceanu's Luca Săndulescu. But to his dismay, Luca Săndulescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Cristian Mahonea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Paul Zăvoiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robert Murgan having to interfere. Children of God's defense didn't have a chance, in the 78th minute, when Cristian Mahonea scored to the left of an out of position Robert Murgan, making the score, 2-3. Costel Cîrțu hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. After having played for 82 minutes, Luca Săndulescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Draghiceanu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luca Săndulescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cristian Mahoneas short, quick shot in the 85thth minute got Robert Murgan to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Robert Murgan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Mahonea in the 90th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luca Săndulescu got free with Robert Murgan in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Children of God booed when Draghiceanu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iustinian Tender didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Cristian Mahonea came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Draghiceanu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Mahonea couldn't finish the play. In the 97th minute, Paul Zăvoiu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match was over Draghiceanu could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Children of God throughout the match.
