Adam Pitiș fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Aursulesei having to interfere. In the 17th match minute, Moş Gerilă was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Răzvan Jecu to maneuver through the defense. Ilie Marincean took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 19th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gabriel Aursulesei. Moş Gerilă's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Eliodor Druță charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eliodor Druță the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Sasveres's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isac Chițes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Cristian Vintilescu made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Moş Gerilă getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Iosif Răduleț hit a great ball. Sorin Spânu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 59th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gabriel Aursulesei.
