In the 4th minute Sorin Lupșoiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stelian Cinteză saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Narcis Milcu in the 8th minute of play forced Barcelona's goalkeeper Stelian Cinteză to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Sorin Lupșoiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Isac Tăgorean made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurel Mestecăneanu in the 12th minute of play. Denis Ţăranu's late challenge caught a Cs Luco's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Denis Ţăranu helped the player get up and apologised. Denis Ţăranu hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Dumitru Druga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 20th minute Narcis Milcu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stelian Cinteză saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21st minute, Ionel Milea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sorin Lupșoiu struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Stelian Cinteză didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cs Luco. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Narcis Milcu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cs Luco's supporters rose to their feet, but Narcis Milcu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stelian Cinteză breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Stelian Cinteză showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Narcis Milcu in the 29th minute of the match. Stelian Cinteză didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sorin Lupșoiu went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Sorin Lupșoiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stelian Cinteză came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Cs Luco's Narcis Milcu. But to his dismay, Narcis Milcu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. When Narcis Milcu came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Cs Luco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Narcis Milcu couldn't finish the play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Anton Sorin to make the kick off. In the 55th minute, Anton Sorin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Isac Tăgorean was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. 58 minutes into the match, Narcis Milcu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Stelian Cinteză. Barcelona's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Narcis Milcu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. 62 minutes into the match, Cs Luco's goal looked a bit too open when Anton Sorin came free, but Isac Tăgorean reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sorin Lupșoiu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Barcelona's goalkeeper Stelian Cinteză, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 76th minute, Sorin Lupșoiu fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Narcis Milcu struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Stelian Cinteză didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cs Luco. In the 84th match minute, Barcelona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Octavian Horațiu to maneuver through the defense. 86 minutes into the match, Narcis Milcu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Stelian Cinteză. Barcelona's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Narcis Milcu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. In the 93rd minute Anton Sorin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isac Tăgorean saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 95th minute, Narcis Milcu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Stelian Cinteză. The goal made the score 1-5. The Barcelona fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Cs Luco were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
