The referee ignored Borussia Dortmund's protests and gave Dan Merișor a yellow card for diving instead. Dan Merișor hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. RAREȘ FC's Ernest Negulici proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save RAREȘ FC from getting a goal against them. Răzvan Bota kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stelian Lera in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eugen Răduțu saved Borussia Dortmund from getting behind. Borussia Dortmund's Eugen Răduțu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Răzvan Bota in the 35th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Stelian Lera to strike the kick off in the second half. Daniel Alucai recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Borussia Dortmund's Eugen Răduțu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Borussia Dortmund from getting a goal against them. Borussia Dortmund's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Stelian Lera was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4.
