Iosif Focșa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nistor Huțupan having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gelu Tatulici in the 9th minute of play forced UFC Nistru's goalkeeper Dinu Tudor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Dorin Săliştean came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Dracsani fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dorin Săliştean couldn't finish the play. Dinu Tudor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gelu Tatulici, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 25 minutes of play, UFC Nistru's Iosif Focșa made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nistor Huțupan was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dinu Tudor made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dorin Săliştean in the 29th minute. Dorin Săliştean recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dinu Tudor stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gelu Tatulici's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. 37 minutes into the game, Emanuel Nițisor was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. UFC Nistru's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dracsani the free kick. In the 46th of the match, Gelu Tatulici tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Dinu Tudor got in the way and made a wonderful save.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Iosif Focșa made a kick off. Dinu Tudor was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 65th minute, Dorin Săliştean got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 71st minute, Dorin Săliştean ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dinu Tudor was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Dorin Săliştean might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dinu Tudor. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dorin Săliştean ran back to his position shaking his head. UFC Nistru's Dinu Tudor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gelu Tatulici in the 75th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gelu Tatulici in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dinu Tudor saved UFC Nistru from getting behind. Dorin Săliştean received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Dinu Tudor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dinu Tudor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dorin Săliştean in the 92nd minute of play. Dinu Tudor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dorin Săliştean in the 94th minute of the match.
