Andrei Săvulescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leontin Giuverdea having to interfere. In the 10th match minute, ®ØM∆Π¥∆Š₺∆® was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cezar Papaiani to maneuver through the defense. Borussia Dortmund's Eugen Răduțu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Borussia Dortmund from getting a goal against them. In the 22nd match minute, Borussia Dortmund was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Alucai to maneuver through the defense. Andrei Săvulescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leontin Giuverdea having to interfere. If Andrei Săvulescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. Leontin Giuverdea made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Pompiliu Cârțan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Eugen Răduțu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Edgar Bocaneț had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 48th minute the ball was on its way in behind ®ØM∆Π¥∆Š₺∆®'s goalkeeper Leontin Giuverdea, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After the first half Borussia Dortmund were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Eugen Răduțu came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by ®ØM∆Π¥∆Š₺∆®'s Edgar Bocaneț. But to his dismay, Edgar Bocaneț quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Eugen Răduțu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgar Bocaneț, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
