In the 13th minute Marcu Şandru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dinu Tudor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tiberiu Piț's late challenge caught a UFC Nistru's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tiberiu Piț helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to The Warriors getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Tiberiu Piț hit a great ball. If Iosif Focșa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 26 minutes, Tiberiu Piț managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Warriors's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tiberiu Piț was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Iosif Focșa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After recieving a nice pass, The Warriors's Corneliu Nacu tried to score from far away in the 38th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. UFC Nistru's Dinu Tudor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiberiu Piț in the 40th minute of play. Marcu Şandru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Dinu Tudor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Iosif Focșa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the match, UFC Nistru's goalkeeper Dinu Tudor had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcu Şandru. Ştefan Ploieșteanu hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iosif Focșa in the 65th minute of play forced The Warriors's goalkeeper Octav Tonegaru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcu Şandru came free with the goalkeeper in the 70th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Dinu Tudor could save by the left post. In the 72nd match minute, The Warriors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mihăiţă Demian to maneuver through the defense. In the 73rd minute of the match Sandu Istrăteanu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Octav Tonegaru skillfully saved the ball. After 74 played minutes The Warriors got a freekick which was hit by Tudor Mălăncioiu. Octav Tonegaru came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by UFC Nistru's Iosif Focșa. But to his dismay, Iosif Focșa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After 79 minutes, Marcel Gâfu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the UFC Nistru and the The Warriors players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 87th minute, Tudor Mălăncioiu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Remus Ostoici sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Iosif Focșa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octav Tonegaru having to interfere. Emanuel Nițisor charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emanuel Nițisor the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. UFC Nistru's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
