Seating: 1735, VIP seats: 150) Babarunca's Rareș Magheru started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Narcis Protase charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Narcis Protase the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Babarunca's Narcis Protase got a free kick in the 4th minute. 11 minutes into the game, Babarunca's Rareș Magheru nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Basarab Roșeanu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 25th minute of the match FC Rogoz got a corner. Babarunca's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Constantin Panaite ran over to the corner to take the kick. FC Rogoz's Constantin Panaite was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Petre Bouleanu in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Basarab Roșeanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Narcis Protase in the 30th minute of play. Lucrețiu Petran charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lucrețiu Petran the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Babarunca booed when FC Rogoz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucrețiu Petran didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emilian Vădan charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emilian Vădan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 34thth minute of the game Rareș Magheru who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Rogoz's Basarab Roșeanu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Basarab Roșeanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rareș Magheru in the 38th minute of play. 43 minutes into the game, Aurelian Păunescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Rogoz's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Babarunca the free kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sorin Ghioane made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rareș Magheru in the 56th minute of play forced FC Rogoz's goalkeeper Basarab Roșeanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Rogoz's Emanuel Flamaropol got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Narcis Protase could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Basarab Roșeanu made a huge save. Basarab Roșeanu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Narcis Protase in the 62nd minute. Emanuel Flamaropol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petre Bouleanu having to interfere. In the 66th match minute, Babarunca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iustinian Cârnu to maneuver through the defense. Petre Bouleanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Flamaropol in the 67th minute of play. Sorin Ghioane sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Rareș Magheru came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Babarunca fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rareș Magheru couldn't finish the play. Basarab Roșeanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Narcis Protase, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Emanuel Flamaropol recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, FC Rogoz's Lucrețiu Petran got a free kick in the 85th minute. Lucian Oravițan was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 86th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. FC Rogoz's Basarab Roșeanu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save FC Rogoz from getting a goal against them. Basarab Roșeanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rareș Magheru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 94th minute Rareș Magheru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basarab Roșeanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Babarunca played a much better game than FC Rogoz and deserved their victory. The FC Rogoz players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
