Petruț Tilea made an important save on a dangerous shot by Răzvan Ghionescu in the 8th minute. Edgar Oloieru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Codruț Semeghin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Răzvan Ghionescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petruț Tilea having to interfere. In the 17th minute, Edgar Oloieru got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Răzvan Ghionescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Petruț Tilea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Petruț Tilea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Octav Doinaș, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, UFC ROMAN CLUB's Petruț Tilea threw himself towards the right post 32 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Octav Doinaș, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Răzvan Ghionescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Petruț Tilea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Petruț Tilea made an important save on a dangerous shot by Răzvan Ghionescu in the 36th minute. 40 minutes into the game, UFC ROMAN CLUB's Răzvan Ghionescu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Petruț Tilea made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Octav Doinaș made the kick off in the second half. Petruț Tilea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Octav Doinaș in the 51st minute of play. In the 53rd minute Răzvan Ghionescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petruț Tilea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Răzvan Ghionescu struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Petruț Tilea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UFC ROMAN CLUB. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Răzvan Ghionescu in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Petruț Tilea saved YBB ARENA from getting behind. YBB ARENA's Petruț Tilea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Octav Doinaș in the 64th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edgar Oloieru got free with Codruț Semeghin in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. UFC ROMAN CLUB's Octav Doinaș got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Răzvan Ghionescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 76th minute, Octav Doinaș ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Petruț Tilea was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adam Gavrilescu during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Adam Gavrilescu kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. If Edgar Oloieru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. YBB ARENA's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
