Babarunca's Petre Bouleanu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Babarunca from getting a goal against them. 12 minutes into the match, Pogon Szczecin's goal looked a bit too open when Rareș Magheru came free, but Cornel Gurgui reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 15th match minute, Babarunca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucian Oravițan to maneuver through the defense. Costel Axinte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Petre Bouleanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Narcis Protase fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cornel Gurgui having to interfere. Rareș Magheru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Pogon Szczecin's Gabriel Ecobescu got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Narcis Protase charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Narcis Protase the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a defensive mix-up in Pogon Szczecin's zone, Rareș Magheru stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cornel Gurgui came out of the goal and Rareș Magheru tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Manole Lupșoiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 32 minutes, Gabriel Ecobescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pogon Szczecin and the Babarunca players grew even worse after the yellow card. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Manole Lupșoiu was the one to do the kick off. Petre Bouleanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Costel Axinte in the 52nd minute of the match. After 52 minutes of play, Pogon Szczecin's Costel Axinte made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Petre Bouleanu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Narcis Protase's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 56thth minute, Cornel Gurgui skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Narcis Protase in the 60thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Cornel Gurgui, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 61st minute, Gabriel Ecobescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Rareș Magheru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Petre Bouleanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manole Lupșoiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Iustinian Cârnu kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. In the 70th minute of the match Dinu Suşu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Petre Bouleanu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of Pogon Szczecin booed when Babarunca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emilian Vădan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Narcis Protase recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Pogon Szczecin's Sever Chiliman got a free kick in the 76th minute.
