Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) FC FCSB's Codruț Blănaru started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Petru Bornescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Codruț Blănaru in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Petruț Tilea saved YBB ARENA from getting behind. Codruț Blănaru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petruț Tilea having to interfere. After having played for 23 minutes, Ferdinand Urdea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC FCSB's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ferdinand Urdea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in YBB ARENA's zone, Ferdinand Urdea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Petruț Tilea came out of the goal and Ferdinand Urdea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the FC FCSB players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
