Pavel Smarandache might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Irinel Minulescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pavel Smarandache ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 6th minute, Cezar Olariu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nicolae Petrin was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Adrian Receanu hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Irinel Minulescu made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Edgar Praporgescu sent off a good shot on target. 17 minutes into the match, Zgaroesti's goal looked a bit too open when Cezar Olariu came free, but Nicolae Petrin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zgaroesti's Edgar Praporgescu got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Edgar Praporgescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nicolae Petrin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mihăiţă Postolache, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edgar Praporgescu to make the kick off. Nicolae Petrin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cezar Olariu in the 56th minute of the match. In the 57th match minute, Zgaroesti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mădălin Zmărăndescu to maneuver through the defense. In the 60thth minute of the game Edgar Praporgescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Oltchim's Irinel Minulescu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mădălin Zmărăndescu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Irinel Minulescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. In the 66th minute, Pavel Smarandache ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Irinel Minulescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edgar Praporgescu in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Irinel Minulescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Pavel Smarandache's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Irinel Minulescu was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. A collision led to Zgaroesti getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Ilie Zdrelea hit a great ball. Laurențiu Patrichi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Irinel Minulescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. In the 80th minute, Alex Poenaru hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mihăiţă Postolache hit a great ball. 95 minutes had been played when some careless play by Oltchim's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Viorel Hurmuzache was slow to take the kick. During this time Zgaroesti's players had a chance to rest. Viorel Hurmuzache made a great header on Zgaroesti's corner, it was just that Oltchim's Irinel Minulescu managed to reach the ball for a save. Despite being the better team, Zgaroesti failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
