A collision led to Cursaru getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Niculae Vişan hit a great ball. Sebastian Lazăr lost his temper 10 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 9 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Cursaru! Alex Loghin walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. After having played for 13 minutes, Cazimir Albescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bata's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cazimir Albescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cazimir Albescu in the 17th minute of play forced Cursaru's goalkeeper Octavian Buta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Bata booed when Cursaru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eric Apopei didn't get a good kick on the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Bata's Cazimir Albescu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Octavian Buta narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Cursaru getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Nicu Floruțiu hit a great ball. Octavian Buta came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Bata's Vasile Moisescu. But to his dismay, Vasile Moisescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Cursaru's Octavian Buta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vasile Moisescu in the 31st minute of play. Cazimir Albescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Octavian Buta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Octavian Buta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cazimir Albescu in the 45th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Cursaru's zone, Vasile Moisescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Octavian Buta came out of the goal and Vasile Moisescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emil Ivan made a kick off. Răzvan Chibulcutean hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Alex Loghin was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 58th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 60th minute, Cazimir Albescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 63 minutes into the match, Cursaru's goalkeeper Octavian Buta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vasile Moisescu. Octavian Buta came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Bata's Vasile Moisescu. But to his dismay, Vasile Moisescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. If Cazimir Albescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Bata booed when Cursaru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Niculae Vişan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Octavian Buta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cazimir Albescu in the 75th minute of the match. In the 77th minute, Vasile Moisescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cursaru's Octavian Buta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Cursaru from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Cursaru's zone, Vasile Moisescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Octavian Buta came out of the goal and Vasile Moisescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 100 minutes in the game, Vasile Moisescu fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Octavian Buta having to interfere. Bata's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
