Eusebiu Izbașa charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eusebiu Izbașa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 5th minute, Eusebiu Izbașa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Cursaru getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Emanuel Ilinca hit a great ball. Aron Trică showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicu Floruțiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. A collision led to FC Dinamo 1948 Bucureşti getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Eliodor Butuc hit a great ball. Nae Encea received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Octavian Buta came out and tried to block the shot, but Nae Encea slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 20th minute. David Isbășoius short, quick shot in the 23rdth minute got Octavian Buta to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Eric Apopei scored 1-1 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aron Trică, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. David Isbășoiu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With his leg Octavian Buta managed to avoid a goal in the 35thth minute, when FC Dinamo 1948 Bucureşti's David Isbășoiu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Nicu Floruțiu's late challenge caught a FC Dinamo 1948 Bucureşti's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicu Floruțiu helped the player get up and apologised. Nicu Floruțiu hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. 39 minutes into the game, FC Dinamo 1948 Bucureşti's David Isbășoiu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Octavian Buta made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nae Encea stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of FC Dinamo 1948 Bucureşti booed when Cursaru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicu Floruțiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Octavian Buta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nae Encea, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Emil Ivan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Aron Trică made a huge save. Aron Trică took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eric Apopei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nae Encea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Eric Apopei managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cursaru's supporters rose to their feet, but Eric Apopei was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aron Trică breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 73rd minute Nae Encea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octavian Buta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicu Floruțiu was shown his second yellow card after 73 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Cursaru getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Nicu Floruțiu hit a great ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Cursaru fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 77th minute. Penalty! An unexpectedly hard shot by David Isbășoiu in the 90th minute of play forced Cursaru's goalkeeper Octavian Buta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nae Encea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Octavian Buta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Emil Ivan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Dinamo 1948 Bucureşti were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Cursaru for a fine match.
