Iacob Aldea's late challenge caught a Bata's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Traian Drăgănoiu was out of position in the 29 minute of play, and Vasile Moisescu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Vasile Moisescu really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Cazimir Albescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Traian Drăgănoiu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Cernatesti's Bogdan Gafița shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 89th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Tudor Țâpu but with some difficulty. The audience was convinced that Cazimir Albescu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Traian Drăgănoiu was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Bata fully deserved thier win.
