U.T.A.-S.U.R.'s Marcel Turlea got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mihail Aldulescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Cursaru's Octavian Buta got control of the ball when Teodor Cozmâncă tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 9th minute of the match U.T.A.-S.U.R. got a corner. Cursaru's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dinu Dedu ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 9th match minute Dinu Dedu ran free in the middle of the field and shot a long shot which scored behind a totally surprised Octavian Buta. 1-0. 22 minutes into the match, Cursaru's goalkeeper Octavian Buta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Teodor Cozmâncă. With his leg Octavian Buta managed to avoid a goal in the 29thth minute, when U.T.A.-S.U.R.'s Teodor Cozmâncă fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Mihail Aldulescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Octavian Buta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Octavian Buta made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Teodor Cozmâncă sent off a good shot on target. Lucian Voinescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niculae Vişan, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Teodor Cozmâncă made a kick off. Cristinel Târcă charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cristinel Târcă the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Cursaru's Răzvan Chibulcutean got a free kick in the 55th minute. Octavian Buta didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dinu Dedu went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. When U.T.A.-S.U.R.'s Teodor Cozmâncă in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The supporters of U.T.A.-S.U.R. booed when Cursaru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicu Floruțiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 80 minutes, the score became 6-0 when Teodor Cozmâncă sped through Cursaru's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Octavian Buta. Octav Nițu kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Cursaru's Octavian Buta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcel Turlea in the 92nd minute of play. When Nicu Floruțiu was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 92 minutes had been played. The supporters of U.T.A.-S.U.R. booed when Cursaru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicu Floruțiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mihail Aldulescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octavian Buta having to interfere. Octavian Buta stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Teodor Cozmâncă's shot from short distance in the 98th minute.
