Spectators: 7504 (Terracing: 5629, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 149) FC Dinamo 1948 Bucureşti's Nae Encea started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Traian Drăgănoiu came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Dinamo 1948 Bucureşti's David Isbășoiu. But to his dismay, David Isbășoiu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. FC Dinamo 1948 Bucureşti's Petrică Cantemir got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Cernatesti's zone, David Isbășoiu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Traian Drăgănoiu came out of the goal and David Isbășoiu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 26 minutes into the match, FC Dinamo 1948 Bucureşti's goal looked a bit too open when Cornel Balaban came free, but Aron Trică reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to FC Dinamo 1948 Bucureşti getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Petrică Cantemir hit a great ball. After 28 minutes of play, Cernatesti's Gigel Petcu made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aron Trică was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gigel Petcu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Aron Trică tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eliodor Butuc kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Eliodor Butuc charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eliodor Butuc the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Cernatesti booed when FC Dinamo 1948 Bucureşti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliodor Butuc didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 40th minute, Doru Aalexoaiei sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and FC Dinamo 1948 Bucureşti's Aron Trică didn't even have to move. Cornel Balaban might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aron Trică. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cornel Balaban ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 45th minute, Gigel Petcu made a precise shot to the right of Aron Trică. FC Dinamo 1948 Bucureşti's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gigel Petcu was the one to do the kick off. Gigel Petcu was extremely unlucky when he, in the 64th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 73rd match minute, Cernatesti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eric Zub to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Isbășoiu in the 75th minute of play forced Cernatesti's goalkeeper Traian Drăgănoiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gigel Petcu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cornel Balaban fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aron Trică having to interfere.
