Spectators: 7504 (Terracing: 5629, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 149) Dumitru Gârneață started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Nistor Spoială showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mugurel Hobjilă in the 8th minute of the match. After having played for 11 minutes, Dumitru Gârneață managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Steluta Juniors's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dumitru Gârneață was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 16 minutes into the match, Mugurel Hobjilă dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Nistor Spoială, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iurie Minea in the 19th minute of play forced Ghighiu AFC's goalkeeper Octavian Ispir to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute, Dumitru Gârneață got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Ghighiu AFC's Marin Cristian got a free kick in the 29th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iacob Ortacu in the 30th minute of play forced Ghighiu AFC's goalkeeper Octavian Ispir to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 32 minutes of play, Steluta Juniors's Iacob Ortacu made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Octavian Ispir was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Stelian Stancu got free with Nistor Spoială in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 36th minute Dumitru Gârneață suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. When Nicu Roşca fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ghighiu AFC's protests and gave Nicu Roşca a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Ghighiu AFC's Nicu Roşca got a free kick in the 37th minute. 40 minutes into the game, Iurie Minea was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Steluta Juniors's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ghighiu AFC the free kick. The supporters of Ghighiu AFC booed when Steluta Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iurie Minea didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 42 minutes of play Steluta Juniors's Iurie Minea was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 43 played minutes Steluta Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Iurie Minea. If Dorel Oravițan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Steluta Juniors's Iustin Neguțu has a good shot, but didn't show it this time. The shot went over the crossbar in the 47th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mugurel Hobjilă stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Ghighiu AFC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Marin Cristian hit a great ball. In the 52nd match minute, Ghighiu AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcel Jităreanu to maneuver through the defense. Stelian Stancu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Nistor Spoială tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Octavian Ispir managed to avoid a goal in the 58thth minute, when Steluta Juniors's Dorel Oravițan fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 60th minute, Dorel Oravițan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nistor Spoială showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stelian Stancu in the 64th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Mugurel Hobjilă's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nistor Spoială was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. Dorel Oravițan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Steluta Juniors's Marcu Voican got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 72 minutes into the match, Ghighiu AFC's goalkeeper Octavian Ispir had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dorel Oravițan. Fabian Hârciog hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. 77 minutes into the match, Ghighiu AFC's Stelian Stancu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nistor Spoială narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Iustin Neguțu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dorel Oravițan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mugurel Hobjilă in the 86th minute of play forced Steluta Juniors's goalkeeper Nistor Spoială to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Iustin Neguțu came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Steluta Juniors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iustin Neguțu couldn't finish the play. Dorel Oravițan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dorel Oravițan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
