Petru Miclovan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Viitorul Berceni's Petru Miclovan got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ofelia's attentive Cristi Vârșan managed to snatch the ball when Petrică Drilea made a throw-in in the 9th minute of the game. The supporters of Ofelia booed when Viitorul Berceni was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eugen Bejgăneanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Ofelia getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Eusebiu Bodiu hit a great ball. When Eugen Bejgăneanu fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Viitorul Berceni's protests and gave Eugen Bejgăneanu a yellow card for diving instead. Eugen Bejgăneanu hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. In the 19th minute, Petru Miclovan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Feroiu in the 25th minute of play forced Viitorul Berceni's goalkeeper Sever Baniciu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sever Baniciu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Eusebiu Bodiu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 27 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Viitorul Berceni's Lucian Lăzăroiu got a free kick in the 41st minute. Gigel Mincu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Sever Baniciu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sever Baniciu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Feroiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gigel Mincu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Sever Baniciu made a huge save.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Petru Miclovan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 50th match minute, Ofelia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eusebiu Bodiu to maneuver through the defense. Viitorul Berceni's Sever Baniciu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristi Vârșan in the 55th minute of play. In the 57th minute Manuel Feroiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sever Baniciu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 58 minutes into the match, Gigel Mincu notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Viitorul Berceni's Sever Baniciu. Sever Baniciu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Feroiu in the 64th minute of play forced Viitorul Berceni's goalkeeper Sever Baniciu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristi Vârșan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sever Baniciu having to interfere. Viitorul Berceni's Sever Baniciu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gigel Mincu in the 68th minute of play. Petru Miclovan took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Codruț Luncanu. Codruț Luncanu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Manuel Feroiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ofelia's Gigel Mincu got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Petru Miclovan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vlad Nedelcu struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Codruț Luncanu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Viitorul Berceni. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Petru Miclovan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Viitorul Berceni's supporters rose to their feet, but Petru Miclovan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Codruț Luncanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vlad Nedelcu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Viitorul Berceni's Vlad Nedelcu got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 89 minutes into the match, Viitorul Berceni's Vlad Nedelcu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Codruț Luncanu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Alin Contra fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ofelia's protests and gave Alin Contra a yellow card for diving instead. The Ofelia players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
