Leonard Berechet's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Francisc Bântu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gigel Olteanu in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Costin Ostoici prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ro-MzF Stiinta Craiova's Costin Ostoici played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nistor Andrițoiu in the 87th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Costel Petriceanu in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Costin Ostoici saved Ro-MzF Stiinta Craiova from getting behind. In the 92nd minute Costel Petriceanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Costin Ostoici saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 96 minutes, Nistor Andrițoiu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Draghia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nistor Andrițoiu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Draghia had played much better football throughout.
