Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Viitorul Berceni's Petru Miclovan started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Viitorul Berceni's Sever Baniciu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sandu Amărculesei in the 4th minute of play. Petrică Drilea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ilie Lopatnicu having to interfere. Ilie Lopatnicu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petru Miclovan in the 10th minute of the match. A sloppy throw-in by Adrian Costandin in the 11th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Viitorul Berceni's Lucian Lăzăroiu. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gheorghe Ştefănică got free with Sever Baniciu in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 17 played minutes Asceții FC got a freekick which was hit by Victor Plopeanu. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Sandu Amărculesei took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Sever Baniciu to make any attempt to save it. With a little luck, Viitorul Berceni's Sever Baniciu got control of the ball when Valer Mitescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gheorghe Ştefănică sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sever Baniciu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sandu Amărculesei, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Viitorul Berceni's Sever Baniciu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Viitorul Berceni from getting a goal against them. Sever Baniciu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sandu Amărculesei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sandu Amărculesei during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Valer Mitescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sever Baniciu having to interfere. 40 minutes into the match, Vlad Nedelcu notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Asceții FC's Ilie Lopatnicu. Ilie Lopatnicu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 46 minutes into the match, Viitorul Berceni's goal looked a bit too open when Sandu Amărculesei came free, but Sever Baniciu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Sandu Amărculesei had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

When Eugen Bejgăneanu fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Viitorul Berceni's protests and gave Eugen Bejgăneanu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 52nd minute, Eugen Bejgăneanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Petrică Drilea could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Ilie Lopatnicu made a huge save. The supporters of Viitorul Berceni booed when Asceții FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victor Plopeanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vlad Nedelcu during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Viitorul Berceni getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Vlad Nedelcu hit a great ball. Sever Baniciu came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Asceții FC's Victor Plopeanu. But to his dismay, Victor Plopeanu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Sandu Amărculesei managed to get in a good position for a shot. Asceții FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sandu Amărculesei was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sever Baniciu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Asceții FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
