The audience thought a goal was coming when Petrică Dulgherescu got free with Codruț Luncanu in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Petrică Dulgherescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Codruț Luncanu having to interfere. If Leontin Furdui had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Petrică Dulgherescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Petrică Dulgherescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Codruț Luncanu having to interfere. Codruț Luncanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leontin Furdui, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 67th match minute, Ofelia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristi Vârșan to maneuver through the defense. Codruț Luncanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leontin Furdui, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. 78 minutes into the match, CSU Asesoft Ploiesti's Petrică Dulgherescu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Codruț Luncanu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nicodim Şunda made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Gigel Mincu sent off a good shot on target. The Ofelia players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented CSU Asesoft Ploiesti from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
