Ionel Dragoș could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Sever Ortacu made a huge save. Victor Harnagea struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Sever Ortacu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sustorog. 7 minutes into the game, Florin Halipa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Sever Ortacu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Victor Harnagea in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sever Ortacu saved GATEMI from getting behind. 18 minutes into the match, Sustorog's Victor Harnagea sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sever Ortacu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sever Ortacu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florin Halipa, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. 22 minutes into the game, GATEMI's Marian Manu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dorel Mustățea made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Sever Ortacu didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 26th minute, which inside left pole to 3-1. After 29 minutes of play, Sustorog's Victor Harnagea made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sever Ortacu was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Florin Halipa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to GATEMI getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Cătălin Răzvan hit a great ball. Dorel Vulcănescu's late challenge caught a Sustorog's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dorel Vulcănescu helped the player get up and apologised. 42 minutes into the game, Basarab Minculescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. GATEMI's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sustorog the free kick. In the 42nd minute, Basarab Minculescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Victor Harnagea in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sever Ortacu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 46 minutes into the match, Sustorog's goal looked a bit too open when Marian Manu came free, but Dorel Mustățea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 48thth minute of the game Narcis Ipate who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sustorog's Dorel Mustățea was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dorel Vulcănescu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Victor Harnagea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sever Ortacu having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in GATEMI's zone, Robert Bociort stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sever Ortacu came out of the goal and Robert Bociort tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Victor Harnagea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Sever Ortacu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Victor Harnagea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sever Ortacu having to interfere. After having played for 69 minutes, Victor Harnagea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sustorog's supporters crossed their fingers, but Victor Harnagea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florin Halipa in the 71st minute of play forced GATEMI's goalkeeper Sever Ortacu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sustorog's Ionel Dragoș got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 74thth minute of the game Ionel Dragoș who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but GATEMI's Sever Ortacu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sever Ortacu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florin Halipa, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Marian Manu kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Sustorog fully deserved thier win.
