Spectators: 7532 (Terracing: 5650, Seating: 1732, VIP seats: 150) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Iulian Ţăranu took the kick off in the first half of the match. If Șerban Crișan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vasile Muntian charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vasile Muntian the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When the match had been going on for 8 minutes, Gerbovec's Marcu Pistol got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Sergiu Bîlbă. The audience thought a goal was coming when Martin Vochin got free with Sergiu Bîlbă in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 14 minutes into the game, Manole Mârzac was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Centurion Lions's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gerbovec the free kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Martin Vochin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gerbovec's supporters rose to their feet, but Martin Vochin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sergiu Bîlbă breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Gerbovec's Silviu Bordeanu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sergiu Bîlbă. That made the score 2-0 after 17 minutes of play. The Gerbovec fans' excitement grew in the 22nd match minute when Gerbovec's Silviu Bordeanu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 37th minute, Iulian Ţăranu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Centurion Lions fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. After having played for 47 minutes, Iulian Ţăranu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Centurion Lions's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iulian Ţăranu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Silviu Bordeanu made a kick off. Sergiu Bîlbă made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silviu Bordeanu in the 67th minute of play. Martin Vochin hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Iulian Ţăranu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Viorel Blăjan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 73rd minute, Manole Mârzac got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Martin Vochin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sergiu Bîlbă took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silviu Bordeanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iulian Ţăranu in the 80th minute of play forced Gerbovec's goalkeeper Viorel Blăjan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Centurion Lions getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Leonard Pivniceru hit a great ball. Marcu Pistol missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 87 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Sergiu Bîlbă right hand side. If Șerban Crișan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Gerbovec had won after a very even match.
