VT Asycuda's George Sichitiu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save VT Asycuda from getting a goal against them. Rapid Constanta's Adam Baicu got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 46th minute of the match Rapid Constanta got a corner. VT Asycuda's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. After 57 played minutes VT Asycuda got a freekick which was hit by Marin Bogdănescu. The corner ended in Gelu Torouţ almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but VT Asycuda's George Sichitiu did a great save. Rapid Constanta's Gelu Torouţ couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for VT Asycuda. Rapid Constanta's Adam Baicu got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 67th match minute, VT Asycuda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laurențiu Săvoiu to maneuver through the defense. George Sichitiu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adam Dobrica, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. When the match had gone on for 92 minutes, Matei Alexandroae took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Cezar Mavrodin to make any attempt to save it. Despite being the better team, Rapid Constanta failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
