Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Gheorghe Nanu started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Martin Vochin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 8 minutes into the match, Gerbovec's goal looked a bit too open when Gheorghe Nanu came free, but Viorel Blăjan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 10th minute Gheorghe Nanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Viorel Blăjan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Martin Vochin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silviu Bordeanu in the 14th minute of play forced Tociloasa UFC's goalkeeper Toader Diculescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristi Scorţea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Viorel Blăjan having to interfere. Cristi Scorţea blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Viorel Blăjan having to make a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Silviu Bordeanu in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Toader Diculescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 26th minute, Gheorghe Nanu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Viorel Blăjan was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Gheorghe Nanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Viorel Blăjan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristi Scorţea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Gerbovec's Marcu Pistol got a free kick in the 36th minute. Tociloasa UFC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ion Buciuman in the 41st minute. The corner ended in Ion Buciuman almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Gerbovec's Viorel Blăjan did a great save. Tociloasa UFC's Gheorghe Nanu got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ion Buciuman shot a long shot in the 48th minute and a light blocked Viorel Blăjan hadn't a chance when the ball went into goal on his right side. It was 2-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Viorel Blăjan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gheorghe Nanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristi Scorţea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Viorel Blăjan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Filip Pârlog lost his temper 69 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 68 minutes into the game, one of Gerbovec:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Gerbovec:s Viorel Blăjan showed great skill when he stopped Ion Buciuman:s penalty. When Cristi Scorţea came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Tociloasa UFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristi Scorţea couldn't finish the play. Viorel Blăjan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gheorghe Nanu in the 77th minute of play. 80 minutes into the match, Gerbovec's goal looked a bit too open when Cristi Scorţea came free, but Viorel Blăjan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gheorghe Nanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Viorel Blăjan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristi Scorţea in the 101st minute of the match.
