Spectators: 7503 (Terracing: 5628, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 149) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Matei Alexandroae kicked off to start the match. Sever Ortacu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Liviu Murărașu in the 3rd minute. In the 5th minute, Marian Manu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 14 played minutes VT Asycuda got a freekick which was hit by Nechifor Creangă. George Sichitiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Narcis Ipate in the 17th minute of the match. After 17 minutes, Laurențiu Săvoiu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the VT Asycuda and the GATEMI players grew even worse after the yellow card. GATEMI's Dorel Vulcănescu got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 23rd minute, Eduard Chițac hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 26th minute of the match Horia Ciolpan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but George Sichitiu skillfully saved the ball. GATEMI's attack was well implemented in the 29th minute, but when Dorel Vulcănescu was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Sever Ortacu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matei Alexandroae in the 34th minute of the match. In the 35th minute, Narcis Ipate got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dorel Vulcănescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nicu Sasu kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. If Liviu Murărașu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sever Ortacu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matei Alexandroae, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matei Alexandroae in the 45th minute of play forced GATEMI's goalkeeper Sever Ortacu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Dorel Vulcănescu made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Iustinian Lupulescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. VT Asycuda's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave GATEMI the free kick. A collision led to VT Asycuda getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Matei Alexandroae fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sever Ortacu having to interfere. Dorel Vulcănescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dorel Vulcănescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 72nd minute, GATEMI's Dorel Vulcănescu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Matei Alexandroae sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Liviu Murărașu came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the VT Asycuda fans jumped to their feet. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind VT Asycuda's goalkeeper George Sichitiu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 90 minutes, Dorel Vulcănescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GATEMI's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dorel Vulcănescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Narcis Ipate got free with George Sichitiu in the 98th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
