Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) Cuhea's Lucrețiu Purje started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Petruț Siniştean managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vederea AC's supporters rose to their feet, but Petruț Siniştean was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cornel Creangă breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Gigi Drăgoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 15th minute, Vasile Pantilimon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In a very dangerous position, a player in Cuhea fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 17th minute. Penalty! Petruț Siniştean shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. After a rather tough play, Cuhea's Lucrețiu Purje got a free kick in the 28th minute. Cornel Creangă made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gigi Drăgoi in the 30th minute of play. Francisc Pop charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Francisc Pop the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 40 minutes into the match, Cuhea's goal looked a bit too open when Calistrat Sântimbrean came free, but Cornel Creangă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gigi Drăgoi struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Cornel Creangă didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vederea AC. In the 48th minute, Laurențiu Anghel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half Vederea AC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gigi Drăgoi to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Gigi Drăgoi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Calistrat Sântimbrean received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Cornel Creangă tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Vederea AC's Francisc Pop got a free kick in the 67th minute. Vasile Pantilimon kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Iustinian Roşu during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 71st match minute, Cuhea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iustinian Roşu to maneuver through the defense. Gigi Drăgoi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cornel Creangă read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. Ivan Frumușanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iacob Apetroaiei in the 88th minute of the match. Vasile Pantilimon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Cornel Creangă tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Calistrat Sântimbrean came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Vederea AC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Calistrat Sântimbrean couldn't finish the play.
