Iustin Peter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gigi Drăgoi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Laurențiu Anghel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 43 minutes into the match, Vederea AC's Gigi Drăgoi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Iustin Peter narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Vederea AC's Vasile Pantilimon got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 63 minutes into the match, Vederea AC's goalkeeper Ivan Frumușanu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aristide Uncescu. Damian Stătescu kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Ivan Frumușanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marian Vasilică in the 69th minute of play.
