Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) After 3 minutes, Mihnea Dorian mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Craiova and the Varlezi players grew even worse after the yellow card. Sebastian Mărculescu might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over 顾鸿乐. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sebastian Mărculescu ran back to his position shaking his head. Iustin Peter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petre Hobjilă in the 28th minute of play. When Petre Hobjilă came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the FC Craiova fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Petre Hobjilă couldn't finish the play. 31 minutes into the match, Sebastian Mărculescu notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of FC Craiova's 顾鸿乐. 顾鸿乐 was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Petre Hobjilă in the 34th minute of play forced Varlezi's goalkeeper Iustin Peter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Robert Aluchei had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sergiu Cercelescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. 顾鸿乐 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Varlezi's Aristide Uncescu got a free kick in the 48th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Robert Aluchei stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Petre Hobjilă recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 58th minute, FC Craiova's Robert Aluchei ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Iustin Peter. Iustin Peter yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. The supporters of Varlezi booed when FC Craiova was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ştefan Porumboiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Mărculescu in the 68th minute of play forced FC Craiova's goalkeeper 顾鸿乐 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sergiu Cercelescu in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg 顾鸿乐 saved FC Craiova from getting behind. In the 71st minute Sergiu Cercelescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 顾鸿乐 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sebastian Mărculescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Petre Hobjilă could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Iustin Peter made a huge save. Liviu Cosor charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Liviu Cosor the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Varlezi fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 88th minute. Penalty! Iulian Olariu placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! With an all-out effort, FC Craiova's Iustin Peter threw himself towards the right post 95 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ştefan Porumboiu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Sergiu Cercelescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
