OSK's Ovidiu Cismaș got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sebastian Mărculescu in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Calistrat Frânculescu saved OSK from getting behind. OSK's Calistrat Frânculescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sergiu Cercelescu in the 20th minute of play. When Traian Beșliu fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored OSK's protests and gave Traian Beșliu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 42nd match minute, OSK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Traian Beșliu to maneuver through the defense. Sergiu Cercelescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Calistrat Frânculescu having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 94th minute by Marian Vasilică got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side.
