In the 3rd minute, Puini's Traian Penciulescu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Virgil Pătran made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alin Gavra in the 7th minute. Zlatarei's Virgil Pătran proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Zlatarei from getting a goal against them. After 12 played minutes Traian Penciulescu rounded Zlatarei's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-0. In the 16th minute, Eugen Gavrilescu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Zlatarei fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Andrei Dragota charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Andrei Dragota the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Zlatarei's Andrei Dragota got a free kick in the 21st minute. In the 25th minute Costel Jerca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucian Goga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Zlatarei getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Luca Ţurlău hit a great ball. Puini's Lucian Goga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Costel Jerca in the 30th minute of play. With a little luck, Zlatarei's Virgil Pătran got control of the ball when Alin Gavra tried to sneak it across the goal line. Virgil Pătran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Traian Penciulescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Alin Gavra took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Virgil Pătran. Virgil Pătran dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. If Costel Jerca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bogdan Blajovan kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugen Gavrilescu in the 47th minute of play forced Puini's goalkeeper Lucian Goga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Traian Penciulescu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Eugen Gavrilescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 56 played minutes Puini got a freekick which was hit by Bogdan Blajovan. Eugen Gavrilescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alin Gavra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Virgil Pătran having to interfere. 66 minutes into the game, Puini's Traian Penciulescu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Virgil Pătran made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Traian Penciulescu took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Virgil Pătran. Virgil Pătran dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. Costel Jerca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 78 minutes in the game, Costel Jerca fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Lucian Goga having to interfere. Eugen Gavrilescu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 81stth minute tested the skills of Lucian Goga when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 86th minute, Costel Jerca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eugen Gavrilescu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lucian Goga read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. In the 90th minute, Eugen Gavrilescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Zlatarei booed when Puini was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aristide Goanță didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Eugen Gavrilescu could shoot a difficult shot in the 92nd minute, which Lucian Goga however easily saved by the left post. A collision led to Puini getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Traian Penciulescu hit a great ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Puini fans cheered their team off the field, for while Zlatarei had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
