Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Matei Ipate started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Manuel Ţintă might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tudor Capșuneanu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Manuel Ţintă ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 11th minute Anton Boștină shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tudor Capșuneanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 20th minute, Teii Petroșani's Matei Ipate ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Aristide Dragomir. Aristide Dragomir yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Aristide Dragomir was a little too slow when Eduard Bântu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 30th minute. The score was now 3-0. In the 34th minute, Gigi Mohora hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 38 played minutes Teii Petroșani got a freekick which was hit by Dumitru Albuț. Lucrețiu Curteanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 44 minutes into the match, Bilghez AS's goalkeeper Aristide Dragomir had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vali Ghițulescu. In the 47thth minute of the game Manuel Ţintă who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Teii Petroșani's Tudor Capșuneanu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anton Boștină stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 51 minutes, Anton Boștină took a quick shot and it went in 3-1 without a chance for Tudor Capșuneanu to make any attempt to save it. Tudor Capșuneanu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Manuel Ţintă in the 55th minute. Teii Petroșani were furious when Dumitru Albuț was red carded, 61 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 60 minutes into the game, one of Teii Petroșani:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Tudor Capșuneanu went to the wrong direction when Cosmin Corbea was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Tudor Capșuneanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anton Boștină, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. After 69 played minutes Teii Petroșani got a freekick which was hit by Eduard Bântu. Manuel Ţintă's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 79thth minute, Tudor Capșuneanu skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Vali Ghițulescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th minute of the match, Ion Melinescu tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Tudor Capșuneanu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In a very dangerous position, a player in Teii Petroșani fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 88th minute. Penalty! Cosmin Corbea shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vali Ghițulescu in the 97th minute of play forced Bilghez AS's goalkeeper Aristide Dragomir to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
