A collision led to Zlatarei getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Andrei Dragota hit a great ball. Ştefan Avramescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Virgil Pătran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Virgil Pătran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ionuț Boieraș in the 17th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ionuț Boieraș in the 18th minute of play forced Zlatarei's goalkeeper Virgil Pătran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ionuț Boieraș's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Virgil Pătran read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. Homoraciul's Ionuț Boieraș was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 81st play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Ştefan Avramescu took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Virgil Pătran. Virgil Pătran dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ştefan Avramescu got free with Virgil Pătran in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Zlatarei's zone, Ionuț Boieraș stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Virgil Pătran came out of the goal and Ionuț Boieraș tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
