Spectators: 7265 (Terracing: 5425, Seating: 1740, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Matei Ipate started the match with the kick off. 5 minutes into the match, Teii Petroșani's goal looked a bit too open when Flavius Claudiescu came free, but Tudor Capșuneanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tudor Capșuneanu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Flavius Claudiescu in the 8th minute. 11 minutes into the match, PG FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vintilă Hidiș came free, but Calistrat Cîrțu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Calistrat Cîrțu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matei Ipate, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 16 minutes into the match, Teii Petroșani's goalkeeper Tudor Capșuneanu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nae Marica. Matei Ipate took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Calistrat Cîrțu. Calistrat Cîrțu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 26th match minute, PG FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iurie Encica to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Teii Petroșani's Șerban Trifu tried to score from far away in the 27th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 28th minute Matei Ipate shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Calistrat Cîrțu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. PG FC's Calistrat Cîrțu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucrețiu Curteanu in the 30th minute of play. 32 minutes into the game, Teii Petroșani's Vali Ghițulescu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Calistrat Cîrțu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Calistrat Cîrțu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vali Ghițulescu in the 36th minute of play. Calistrat Cîrțu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matei Ipate, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. After 38 played minutes PG FC got a freekick which was hit by Iurie Encica. Calistrat Cîrțu came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Teii Petroșani's Matei Ipate. But to his dismay, Matei Ipate quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Vintilă Hidiș scored 0-4 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Calistrat Cîrțu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Flavius Claudiescu made a kick off. PG FC's Calistrat Cîrțu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save PG FC from getting a goal against them. PG FC were awarded a corner in the 64th minute after Teii Petroșani's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mihai Manea took the corner. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vali Ghițulescu got free with Calistrat Cîrțu in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Vali Ghițulescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Calistrat Cîrțu was a little too slow when Vali Ghițulescu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 71st minute. The score was now 0-6. A collision led to Teii Petroșani getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Sandu Domide hit a great ball. Francisc Chiru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tudor Capșuneanu having to interfere. 82 minutes into the game, Vintilă Hidiș was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Teii Petroșani's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave PG FC the free kick. Teii Petroșani made a substitution. Octav Arghirescu replaced Vintilă Hidiș. In the 83rd match minute, Teii Petroșani was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vintilă Hidiș to maneuver through the defense. Tudor Capșuneanu came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by PG FC's Daniel Nițu. But to his dismay, Daniel Nițu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-6. In the 92nd minute, Octav Arghirescu made a precise shot to the right of Calistrat Cîrțu. PG FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-7. The supporters of PG FC booed when Teii Petroșani was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mădălin Nae didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Teii Petroșani had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
