Codrin Pencu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Ferdinand Elenescu made a huge save. Aurel Nicorici received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Augustin Vişan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Codrin Pencu charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Codrin Pencu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 40th minute, Codrin Pencu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Augustin Vişan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aurel Nicorici, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgar Balaci in the 80th minute of play forced Eminescu's goalkeeper Ferdinand Elenescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dacian Baniciu's late challenge caught a Eminescu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dacian Baniciu helped the player get up and apologised. 84 minutes into the match, FC Matei's goalkeeper Augustin Vişan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aurel Nicorici. In the 86th match minute, FC Matei was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Codrin Pencu to maneuver through the defense. Cazimir Huștiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 90th play minute Aurel Nicorici came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Augustin Vişan. 2-2. Martin Frățilă might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Augustin Vişan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Martin Frățilă ran back to his position shaking his head. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
