Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Popteleac's Francisc Bostan started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Francisc Bostan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Tiberiu Godeanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 19th minute Irinel Bulcă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcu Onișoru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Moise Rogozea might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tiberiu Godeanu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Moise Rogozea ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 33rd minute, Moise Rogozea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Vintilă Encuțu fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CS U Boteni's protests and gave Vintilă Encuțu a yellow card for diving instead. After 37 played minutes CS U Boteni got a freekick which was hit by Vintilă Encuțu. Moise Rogozea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 44th minute, Francisc Bostan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tiberiu Godeanu was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Olimpiu Gruescu kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Irinel Bulcă made the kick off in the second half. When Tudor Gafița came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Popteleac fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tudor Gafița couldn't finish the play. 54 minutes in the game Codruț Târlea did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Vintilă Encuțu. Moise Rogozea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiberiu Godeanu having to interfere. Tudor Gafița took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tiberiu Godeanu. Tiberiu Godeanu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. In the 63rd minute Moise Rogozea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiberiu Godeanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Irinel Bulcă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tiberiu Godeanu came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Popteleac's Moise Rogozea. But to his dismay, Moise Rogozea quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Vintilă Encuțu made in the 79th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Irinel Bulcă. Olimpiu Gruescu hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. George Enache could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Marcu Onișoru made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in CS U Boteni's zone, Tudor Gafița stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tiberiu Godeanu came out of the goal and Tudor Gafița tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Popteleac's Olimpiu Gruescu managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Codruț Târlea in the 88 minute of the game. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Popteleac fully deserved thier win.
