Cristinel Petre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aurel Nicorici's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristinel Petre read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. 8 minutes into the match, Aurel Nicorici dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Cristinel Petre, 1-0. Ferdinand Elenescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Borza in the 18th minute of play. Sebastian Borza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 25th match minute, Aposdorf was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vlad Stroia to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Cazimir Huștiu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Eminescu's supporters rose to their feet, but Cazimir Huștiu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristinel Petre breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marcel Iacobeanu made in the 29th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Radu Negru immediately put the ball in play. After 30 minutes, Cazimir Huștiu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Eminescu and the Aposdorf players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 30 played minutes Eminescu got a freekick which was hit by Cazimir Huștiu. After a defensive mix-up in Eminescu's zone, Cristian Niculescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ferdinand Elenescu came out of the goal and Cristian Niculescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eminescu's Gavril Soneriu suffered a concussion after 34 minutes and had to leave the field. After 34 minutes, Sebastian Borza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Aposdorf and the Eminescu players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 35th minute, Sebastian Borza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristinel Petre was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Aurelian Jurăscu. Aurel Nicorici could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Cristinel Petre made a huge save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Cristian Niculescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferdinand Elenescu having to interfere. Cristinel Petre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aurel Nicorici, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Niculescu got free with Ferdinand Elenescu in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cristinel Petre didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aurel Nicorici went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. There was no doubt that Eminescu were the better team. Eminescu's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
