Liviu Chelbea scored 1-2 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sabin Isărescu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Steaua United getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Damian Țepelea was the one to do the kick off. The Cismanesti fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sabin Isărescu should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Iustin Halipa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cismanesti's supporters rose to their feet, but Iustin Halipa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mircea Ciocâlteu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mircea Ciocâlteu made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Damian Țepelea sent off a good shot on target. Steaua United's Mircea Ciocâlteu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iustin Halipa in the 86th minute of play. With his leg Mircea Ciocâlteu managed to avoid a goal in the 88thth minute, when Cismanesti's Damian Țepelea fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Isac Bistreanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mircea Ciocâlteu came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by Cismanesti's Damian Țepelea. But to his dismay, Damian Țepelea quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. The Steaua United fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Cismanesti were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
